What you will learn?
Vocabulary and Phrases – Level 2 introduces a range of signs and phrases that are used in everyday conversations. These include four main themes and other features that are included in BSL.
Grammar and Structure – you will start to understand how to develop BSL sentence structure and grammatical rules in BSL. For example: word order, facial expressions and non-manual features that convey meaning.
Deaf Awareness and Culture – this is to help understand the cultural context of BSL, the Deaf community and how to apply it in real life situations.
Assessments – this is to evaluate the learner’s knowledge and skills in signing.
Duration – it can take several weeks to a few months to complete, depending on the course and the individual’s learning pace.
Certification – once a learner has completed their BSL Level 2 course, they will receive a certificate to validate their skills.
